CES 2019 will host a world of new tech for brands to back in the New Year

TechUp, the curated service designed by experts in the field of connected play, Peter Jenkinson and Valerie Vacante, is heading to CES to get hands on with the latest in innovation and consumer technologies.

Following its successful launch at Wired Live and WIRED Next Generation in London earlier this year, TechUp will be landing in Las Vegas in early 2019 to bring together creative, curated connected products and experiences and present them on the global stage.

For CES 2019, TechUp is partnering with Living in Digital Times to host connected play spotlight sessions at the Kids and Family Tech Summit, conducting interviews from the CES stage and show floor with some of the most innovative companies shaping the way kids play, learn and explore the world of tech.

“It’s wonderful to find a like minded partner like TechUp,” said Robin Raskin, founder of Living in Digital Times. “They understand and promote the value of connected play that’s both good for the kids and good for the industry.”

Interviews and TechUp content from CES 2019 will be available through official media partners Toyology, ToyNews and Licensing.biz.

“We are thrilled to partner with Living in Digital Times, ToyNews, Licensing.biz and toyology for CES 2019. Each partner has solid strengths and provide expertise in toys, games, technology and entertainment across the industry and on a global scale,” said Valerie Vacante, co-founder of TechUp.

The outfit has already been hard at work curating a line up of what it believes to be some of the most innovative and forward-thinking brands in connected play for CES 2019. The line-up includes the likes of CES Innovation Honouree Snow Shine by Immersive Play and Jay@Play. It’s the first companion toy that is able to interact with multiple inputs such as Spotify, YouTube and Alexa.

It is joined by CES KAPi Award winner NERF Laser Ops Pro by Hasbro, MekaMon – an AR gaming robot by Reach Robotics, Birde the world’s first media player for pre-school children, Touchscapes by Novalia and The Explorers by Unicorn Games – a board game that combines traditional and augmented reality dynamics.

“TechUp at CES 2019 will be a true smorgasbord of cool tech and we can’t wait to shout about it all in Las Vegas,” said Peter Jenkinson, co-founder of TechUp.
